Cozumel, 2002

This is just a quick photo album. For more written narrative about Cozumel, please visit the month in the Caribbean trip or our third visit to Cozumel.

This year we rented a hacienda called Castillo del Ray. It's gorgeous, no? Also much cheaper than the Presidente...

The pool was the place to cool off from about 3:30 to 5:30 every afternoon...

Another view of the courtyard...

There's a nice porch in the shade...

There's a gorgeous upstairs master suite and 2nd bedroom, with 2 bedrooms downstairs, and a sleepable living room

Here's the sleepable living room in action. There was a TV, VCR, and Satellite Receiver so the kids could keep up on their cartoons...

Included was a cook and housekeeper. That's a lot of breakfast for a little man, no?

We rented this crazy Jeep from the Rentadora. At one point we had 6 adults in this thing plus dive gear! Garrett played chauferer and bar tender extraordinaire...

Edna...

...and Steve

Garret and Kevin doing what boys of this age do--hanging out...

And Jessica...

A lady of leisure and her cerveza...

Sisters are such a pain!

Do you know the story of the Little Mermaid?

Steve showing the proper way to clean scuba gear--in the pool!

Now Steve is surveying what he hath wrought...

From any angle, this looks like the thing to do. Maybe.

Hey, big kids can have floaties too!

And so, we've finished, another job well done!

A bizarrely ominous cloud. On another day, we saw a waterspout, but I had no camera. Drat!

By day, we were out on Rudolfo Soltero's dive boat, the Anita...

Rudolfo can be quite the charming Old World gentleman...

On the other hand, he won't hesitate to teach youngsters how to be real men in the Latin sense!

Household hijinx...

La Sorensens...

More hijinx...

And now for some Night Life...
